Oshkosh Cement Mixer Part III
In the final installment of this conversion I will show the assembly and finished product. Overall I am very please with the outcome and wish to thank forum members who communicated with me here in the forum and via email, offering help and guidance-after all I like things that lift things, not things that pour!
Joining the Oshkosh frame to the IH frame

A close up of the fabricated front bumper, made from C channel brass, cut and tucked under at the bends.

And here we are into the paint booth!

The cab, frame and the rest of the parts painted

Here are all the parts and pieces ready for the assembly process

And the assembly process begins by mounting the tires to the frame and adding silver touches

The highly detailed engine mounted

The mixer barrel sub assembly

The cab, fenders and hood sub assemblies

You have to love the detail of these Sword models, you need to mount the radiator, connect the hoses and install the fan under the fan guard-insane!!

The front of the truck, the rolling chassis completed

And the mixer mounted

And now the completed model, complete with the requested decals of Dealers Ready Mix Co of Highland Park, ILL, unit number 8873.
