Making Money with eBay I started making money from home by selling on eBay. eBay is one of the largest internet retailers out there and they rely on you - the seller, to provide them with the products to sell. I started out on eBay by buying things first. I wanted to get a feel for how the system worked, and how it felt to be a customer. Then, when I started selling, I would treat my customers how I would like to be treated when I was a buyer. The first thing I started selling on eBay was my soft sculpture art. I got a rush when they sold! Then I started looking around our house to see what "stuff" was just sitting around not being used anymore. How exciting! I was not only doing "spring cleaning", but was getting PAID to do it! Then I brought my husband into it... He was cleaning out the garage and had a box full of aquarium filter parts that we had not even looked at in years. He dragged that box out to the curb, I dragged it back in! I suggested that we try to sell this box of parts on eBay. So we took some pictures, wrote a simple description which did mention that there was not one complete filter among all these parts but could be used for repairing existing aquarium filters. That box of filter parts sold for over $200!! He was hooked on eBay instantly and we started looking around the house for anything that wasn't nailed to the floor that we could sell.
